Cristiano Seixas is a veteran creative director, comic book artist, and animation director. He was the first Brazilian comic book writer to work on a Hollywood franchise: Alien, as a miniseries for Dark Horse Comics. Alien was selected for a special collection and re-released by MARVEL in 2023. A still from the animation “Little Great Chico,” which he co-created and directed, was featured in the 100 Years of Brazilian Animation tribute at the ANNECY Festival.
He is the creative director of Ghost Jack Entertainment, developing animation, comics, and game projects, such as the desert survival drama Calango, which he co-created and wrote, initially as a comic, with art by DC Comics artist Eduardo Pansica. The title won the 2018 KOHQ Award for best indie comic adapted for a mobile game, prototyped in Unreal Engine, and was featured in Brazil’s leading comics exhibition, at the MIS in São Paulo.
Cristiano is the co-founder of Casa dos Quadrinhos Escola Técnica de Artes Visuais, the leading technical school of visual arts in Minas Gerais. He co-developed and wrote Maeve Rising Warrior, an Irish-Celtic comic book saga with a high-profile Kickstarter launch and published by Red 5 Comics. He has spoken at dozens of events not only in Brazil, but also in Canada and South Africa. He is working on a mixed-media stop-motion animation called Wild Jack.
