Sgt. Remo teams up with the top reggae dancehall artists in the Lone Star State for this Texas ganja anthem. The single and music video bring together six of the most prominent lyricists in the Texas reggae dancehall scene. Remo joins Mr. Blacc Sheep, Ras I-Dre, Fyah Sthar, Kroywen, and Soulfiya on vocals delivering one bag of lyrics over the hypnotic riddim. Kutral Dub handled the production and engineering for this banger.
A certified ganja tune, Texas Kush kicks off with Sgt. Remo’s catchy pre chorus “Texas kush, wi nuh smoke no bush.” Houston mic general Mr. Blacc Sheep is up next delivering a pound of lyrics and a few kilos of swagger, before Ras I-Dre blazes a fyah ‘pon the riddim. The “Moving Up’ artist, Fyah Sthar, turns the vibes up a notch, as if you could get any higher!
But wait, we’re only half way through the 3:30 minute song. Kroywen blesses up the herbs with his soulful vocals before Soulfiya goes “Maad” on the riddim. Sgt. Remo brings us back down to earth with the last chorus. And of course, this one requires a “Haul and pull up my selecta!!!”
